Distressed Boater Rescued From Bolton Lake In Vernon
A distressed boater was saved by a quick response by both civilians and responders over the weekend.

VERNON, CT — A distressed boater was rescued in Vernon over the weekend by a quick marine response from fire officials and the help of civilians.
The incident took place Saturday on Lower Bolton Lake.
Responders located a boater in the water, who was being assisted by two people on paddle boards, fire officials said.

Rescuers were able to get the boater to shoe with a rescue boat. The Bolton Fire Department and was dispatched to the Boston Turnpike boat launch and the Tolland County Dive Team was put on standby as a precaution.
The boater was evaluated after being brought to dry land, officials said.
