DOT Replaces Signs on Vernon Ramp Damaged By Drunken Driver: Police
A crash over the weekend left several off-ramp signs run over in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — New signs were back in place to start this week on an Interstate 84 off-ramp in Vernon. State police said several were run over by a suspected drunken driver over the weekend.
The crash took place at 1:23 a.m. Saturday at the Exit 66 eastbound off-ramp, according to a state police crash report.
The report states that a 2016 Toyota Corolla being driven by a 44-year-old Manchester woman was on the ramp and suddenly veered into several state Department of Transportation signs.

The driver was not hurt, but she was arrested for driving under the influence, according to a crash report.
