A driver found passed out in a Vernon McDonald's drive-through window wound up with drug and drunken driving charges, police said.

VERNON, CT — A driver found passed out in a Vernon McDonald's drive-through window wound up with drug and drunken driving charges, police said.

Police released the details of the May 31 incident this week.

At 10:43 p.m. that night, Vernon police received a call about a man "passed out" in the drive-through lane at the Route 31 McDonald's, according to a report. Police woke him up and he then failed field sobriety tests and was charged with drunken driving, according to a report.

Police then located methodone and heroin in the car, according to a report.

Adam Funkhouser, 42, was then charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance, according to a report.
