Driver With Ignition Device Hit Up 'Car Starters' In Tolland: Police
A Vernon woman ordered to use to use an ignition device has been charged with trying to get others to start her car in Tolland.
TOLLAND, CT — A Vernon woman was arrested last week after trying to solicit passersby at a Tolland business to blow into an ignition control device to start her car, state police said.
According to an arrest report, at 5:48 p.m. on April 1, state troopers were dispatched to Extra Space Storage at 259 Hartford Turnpike after receiving a call about woman trying to get people to start her vehicle via the ignition interlock device.
The 40-year-old woman was subsequently charged with illegally using others to bypass an ignition device. She remained in custody Monday on a $10,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on May 6, records show.
