Driver Killed In Friday Evening Crash In Vernon
A driver was killed in a two-car crash in Vernon Friday.
VERNON, CT — A Friday evening car crash in Vernon claimed the life of one motorist, police said.
The crash took place at about 7 p.m. on West Street near Regan Road, according to police.
West Street was closed between Regan Road and and Grand Avenue as police tried to piece together what had transpired.

What police did say was that the driver of one vehicle was brought to Rockville Hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead. The man driving the second vehicle was brought to Hartford Hospital with what police described as non life-threatening injuries.
The crash remained under investigation Friday night and witnesses are being asked to contact Vernon police at 860-872-9126.
