Driver Rams Into Cars, Garage — And a Person — In Vernon
A vehicular pinball incident in Vernon left several things wrecked — and a pedestrian in a hospital — police said.

VERNON, CT — A driver who was eventually charged with drunken driving triggered an incident of vehicular pinball Sunday in a crash spree that including a person getting hit, Vernon police said.
The crash took place in the area of Sunset Avenue on Sunday at 2:20 a.m. When Vernon police arrived there, they located a woman with a hand and leg injury and the driver of the white Kia Sorrento that hit her had left the scene on foot after also striking several vehicles, a garage and a fence, according to a crash report.
The driver was located by police a short distance away with minor injuries.

He was was subsequently identified as John Glasper, 41, of East Hartford. Glasper was transported to an area hospital for treatment and then arrested and charged with failure to drive in a proper lane, unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, second degree assault with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Glasper was held in lieu of a $150,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday .

The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
