
WILLIMANTC, CT — Eastern Connecticut State University junior guard Tarchee Brown of Vernon has been recognized for weekly honors in the 13th and final Little East Conference report of the season.
Brown was named Player-of- the-Week for the second time this year and recorded his second-highest point total in a game with a season-high 33 points in an 85-66 victory over UMass Boston Saturday which gave Eastern its 30th straight conference regular-season home win and its fourth straight No. 1 tournament seed.
The point total was second only to his program-record 44-point performance in the fourth game of last year. Brown was 7-of-9 from three-point range and 10-of- 17 overall against UMB, with 25 of his points coming in the second half when he was 8-of- 10 from the floor, including 5-of- 5 from three-point range with five rebounds in 18 minutes.

In a 74-53 LEC home win over Keene State College at mid-week that moved the Warriors back into first place in the standings, Brown had seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. The week’s 39 points moved him into13th place all-time in that category.
Brown is second in the LEC in scoring (18.7). In an average of 32.3 minutes in 25 games Brown is shooting 44.8 percent from the floor and 73.5 percent from the free throw line with 43 three-pointers, a 4.8 rebounding average and 2.7 assist average.

Eastern (17-8) is scheduled to host eighth-seeded Western Connecticut Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the first round of the LEC tournament.
