Father Accused of Sexually Assaulting Daughter in Vernon
A man is accused of sexually assaulting his 10-year-old daughter at his Vernon residence.

VERNON, CT — Police were alerted to an alleged sexual assault involving a father and daughter when the girl told her classmates she was "raped" during a school presentation, according to a warrant.
The man now stands accused of sexually assaulting the 10-year-old at his Vernon residence, a warrant indicates.
Andre Brinson, 37, was arrested on Wednesday in East Hartford and Transported to Vernon, where the alleged assault took place. He was charged with third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, according to a warrant.

Brinson does not live with the girl, but, during a visit by her to his Vernon residence, they were watching a movie on a couch and he allegedly touched her in a lewd way and moved her hand to touch him in a lewd way, according to a warrant.
She told her classmates and teacher at a Hartford magnet school during a presentation on events that impacted students' lives. School officials immediately contacted authorities, according to a warrant.
