Federal Fugitive Discovered In Vernon After Public Sex Act

A sex act at a Vernon recreation facility led to the arrest of a federal fugitive, police said.

VERNON, CT — A federal fugitive was arrested in Vernon on Labor Day after he was caught performing a sex act at a local parks and recreation facility, police said.

Milton Raudales-Arrazola, 24, whose listed address is on the 400 block of Hartford Turnpike in Vernon, was picked up at 3:30 p.m., records show.

According to a report, a woman was leaving a softball game at Center 375 on Route 30 on Monday when she saw Raudales-Arrazola holding his cell phone with his left hand and performing a sex act on himself with his right under a tree.

The woman called police and, after arriving, officers noticed a pornography site on his phone after finding him under the tree, a report states. Raudales-Arrazola claimed he was going to urinate, according to a report.

He was charged with public indency and second-degree breach of peace for the act and with risk of injury to a child because young people were on bicycles near Center 375 at the time, according to a report.

He was also charged with interfering with police.

During the booking process, Vernon police discovered he had a no-bond nationwide extradictable warrant for undisclosed federal charges, police said.

He was held overnight on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in court Tuesday.
