Fire Breaks Out On East Main Street In Vernon
A fire broke out at an East Main Street apartment house in Vernon on Wednesday afternoon.
VERNON, CT — A fire broke out at an East Main Street apartment house in Vernon on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 3:30 p.m. along the 120 block of East Main Street.
Police said heavy smoke could be seen billowing out of of an upper floor window.

Several people were evacuated from the building, including a couple assisted by first-responders, police said. One person was being evaluated at the scene by an ambulance crew, police said.
