Fire Forces Apartment Evacuations In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A fire prompted several evacuations at a Vernon apartment complex on Route 30 Tuesday evening.

The fire broke out at about 6 p.m. at the Santini complex located at 1031 Hartford Turnpike, police said.

No injuries were reported, but about a dozen units were evacuated, according to police.
