Testing for COVID-19 infection and antibodies continues and is available to anyone, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Press release from the Town of Vernon: Flu shots will be available beginning Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Town of Vernon’s two COVID-19 drive-thru and walk-up testing sites. The services are offered in partnership with Priority Urgent Care of Ellington. Flu shots are available to people ages 4 and older.

“When we began COVID-19 testing, our goal was to offer a safe and accessible way for area residents to get tested,” Vernon Mayor Daniel A. Champagne said. “Building on that success and with flu season approaching, this is a natural next step. Providing easy access to flu shots is the right thing to do to help keep our community healthy and safe.”

Testing for COVID-19 infection and antibodies continues and is available to anyone, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Flu shots are covered by most health insurance. For people who do not have insurance there is a nominal fee for the flu shot. Pre-screening is recommended for all services and people are asked to call Priority Urgent Care at 860-454-0678.
