VERNON, CT — A thrown bottle and a crash were both part of a road rage incident that landed a 20-year-old Vernon man with several criminal charges, police said.

Vernon police released details of the July 20 incident Monday.

At 7:11 p.m. that day, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Hartford Turnpike for a road rage incident involving someone first in a car then out of one, according to an arrest report.

The the 20-year-old caused a crash and also hurled a plastic water bottle at the other involved car, police said.

The man was charged with reckless driving, being a negligent pedestrian, throwing objects at a motor vehicle, evading responsibility and failure to drive n the proper lane, according to an arrest report.

The incident was a minor road rage type of incident. Thomas threw a plastic water bottle at a vehicle and caused a minor accident with the same vehicle.
