Formal Plans For A Valvoline Shop In Vernon Finally Submitted
Plans for a Valvoline automobile facility are on the books in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — Plans have finally been submitted for a Valvoline auto service center on Route 83 in Vernon.
Ironically, the "coming soon" Valvoline sign that has been at 371 Talcottville Road since October 2020 was taken down this week, but a Planning and Zoning Commission application has been submitted and a public hearing on the proposal is slated for June 16.
A special permit is being sought for a "general auto repair" facility, according to the PZC agenda. A site plan review has also been requested.

Notices to abutting property owners were sent Thursday, PZC officials said.
Valvoline's interest in the parcel first surfaced in the fall of 2020. The land was eventually sold to the operators of several area Valvoline shops by the operators of the Mr. Sparkle Car wash chain. A Mr. Sparkle sits next door.
