Former Bennigan's Property Being Marketed for a Commercial Lease

The former Bennigan's property on Route 30 is being marketed for commercial use.

A year ago last week, a local doctor bought the parcel for $730,000 from Prudential Mortgage, real estate records indicate. The holding company for the property is 343 Hartford Tpke LLC, based at 201 Stoner Dr. in West Hartford, according to real estate records.

That is the local address of the parcel, who has been sitting vacant for years, ever since the struggling Bennign's restaurant was closed.

A sign from the listing broker, New England Retail Properties Inc., is in front of the property offering a lease for "out parcels and retail."

Listing agent Matt Halprin said the property is being marketed for "lease and redevelopment."

Vernon Economic Development Coordinator Shaun Gately said he is working closely with the agent and owner to "market the property to what makes the most sense."
