Fourth Of July Holiday Prompting Trash Schedule Changes In Vernon
If delays occur, residents are asked to keep trash and recycling carts out at the curb.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 along with that day's regular collections.

There will be no bulky waste pickups on Wednesday, July 5.
The Transfer Station will be open its usual hours on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 as well as Wednesday, July 5.
