Fourth Of July Trash/Recycling Changes Posted In Vernon
The Fourth of July holiday is bringing trash schedule changes to Vernon.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day, but will instead be picked up on Monday, July 6, along with that day's regular collection.
Residents are being advised to keep trash and recycling containers at the curb in the event of delays.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, July 4, but will be open on Sunday, July 5 from noon to 4 p.m.
