Fourth Of July Trash Schedule Posted In Vernon
Some changes are in order for trash collection over the July 4 weekend.
VERNON, CT — Vernon officials have released the Fourth of July collection services schedule.
The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 along with the regular Monday collections.
If delays occur, residents can keep trash and recycling containers out at the curb.

The Vernon Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, July 3, 2022 but will be open on Saturday, July 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
