French Fry Fight Leads to Arrest in Vernon: Cops
The brawl broke out at lunchtime Sunday, police said.

VERNON, CT — A lunchtime dispute over french fries turned into a trashed apartment and a family feud over the weekend, Vernon police said.
At 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to 80 Union St. about a teen "destroying" an apartment, police said. Jhaylene Montes, 18, wound up being arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
Police said they determined that Montes had gone to a nearby Burger King and returned with one fewer order of fries than originally anticipated, which led to an argument and the fries eventually spilling, according to a police report.
