A woman snuck onto the phone while a friend was in the shower to tell Vernon police they can come get him on warrants: report.

VERNON, CT — A woman snuck onto the phone while a friend was in the shower to tell Vernon police they can come get him on three outstanding warrants, a report indicates.
The call came in at 11:28 a.m. on Wednesday, via the Vernon Polic e Department's non-emergency line, according to a report. The woman told police a man with outstanding warrants was at the Springville Mill apartment complex on West Main Street.
Police confirmed that Wayne Tack, 48, did have three outstanding warrants for several charges ranging from assaulting a public safety official to traffic violations to skipping court dates.

The woman said she has been trying to convince him to go to court, according to police.
The woman then told a dispatcher Tack would be upset knowing she called but that he was in the shower so he had no idea, police said.

Tack was upset when police arrived but then admitted to the warrants, according to a report. He was arrested for failure to appear without incident, police said.
