The Friends of Rockville Public Library held another very successful cookie sale in 2018. We couldn't have accomplished this success without the following: the library staff for taking orders; the callers to our bakers; Pricechopper; Great Harvest; Panera Bread Evergreen Walk; Lori Gilmore and the culinary students at Rockville High. Also thanks to those who couldn't bake and made donations; to the wonderful bakers in our community; to the fun group who produced our platters and of course to those who supported us by purchasing our platters.
Aside from our annual holiday cookie sale, the Friends participate in the library's tree festival, the townwide tag sale, and the Strong Family Farm Festival. The Friends provide refreshments for many library events and thanks to Jan of the Friends, keep the used books and CD's shelves neat and orderly for resale.
Through our fundraising, the Friends have been able to provide museum passes to library card holders which, except for a few, can now be obtained online through the library website (rockvillepubliclibrary.org). If you have a museum that you would like to have us support, please call the library and let them know. We have also recently purchased bags to protect books taken out by patrons during inclement weather and support the library as requests are made.

We wish everyone a wonderful 2019 and hope you will join us at our meetings. Mark your calendars for next year's sale on December 14th!!
