Fugitive Nabbed by Vernon Police

VERNON, CT — A man wanted in South Carolina was picked up by Vernon police on Thursday, a report indicates.

Police said they were tipped off to the man's presence at 89 Prospect St. at 6:41 p.m.

Peter Stetson, 60, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, was then taken into custody. He had been wanted in Myrtle Beach, SC, for stalking and malicious destruction of property, according to a police report.

He was taken to court Friday to face extradition, police said.
