Full Conversion Of United Bank To People's United Now Official
People's United has officially taken over all United Bank functions.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT —United Bank officially fell into into the business abyss on Monday morning as the remaining functions fell under the People's United Bank moniker.
In July, People's United Financial, Inc., the holding company for People's United Bank, announced an agreement to acquire United Financial Bancorp, the holding company for United Bank, in a 100 percent stock transaction valued at about $759 million.
From Friday until Monday, all United accounts and services began transitioning to People's United Bank.

The "new" United Bank had been formed by a merger of Connecticut-based Rockville Bank and Massachusetts-based United Bank in April 0f 2014.

April 3
- 3 a.m. — United Bank Debit and ATM cards were deactivated. E-mail went out to customers about eight hours later.
- 5 a.m. — The new People’s United Bank debit and ATM cards wento into effect.
- 8 a.m. — Automated Teller Machines at United Bank branches became temporarily unavailable.
- 3 p.m. — United Bank branches closed temporarily.
- 3 p.m. — Inited telephone bankjing became temporarily unavailble.
- 5 p.m. — United Bank Online Banking converted to inquiry-only mode.
April 6
- 7 a.m. — United customers had access to People's United Bank telephone, opnline and mobile banking systems. Businesses had access to telephone banking.
- 8 a.m. — Businesses were able to access People's United Bank business online and mobile banking systems.
- 8 a.m. — United Bank online banking was no longer available.
