The long-awaited opening of the Vernon ShopRite has been announced.

VERNON, CT — ShopRite on Wednesday announced the long-anticpated opening day for its latest store at the Tri-City Plaza in Vernon. It's March 8 and a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for 9 a.m.

Waverly Markets and the Cohen Family will also make a donation to regional food bank Foodshare to celebrate the grand opening.
