VERNON, CT — Two juveniles are facing charges in a robbery involving a gun stolen from a Vernon home, according to police.

Milford police received a call Tuesday at about 6:40 p.m. reporting a robbery with a gun at a Wilson Street home. The victim said they were robbed at gunpoint by two males who the victim knew.

The suspects fled in a white vehicle. A short time later, a Milford police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description on Schoolhouse Road.

Police identified the two juveniles in the vehicle as the suspects in the robbery. Police also said they found drugs in the vehicle.

Police learned that the gun used in the crime was dropped off at another home in Milford after the robbery.

Detectives drafted a search warrant for the home where they suspected the gun was dropped off. Police executed the search warrant Wednesday morning and found a stolen .38 caliber pistol.

The gun was stolen during a burglary in Vernon, according to police.

Both juveniles were charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and police said additional charges are pending.
