VERNON, CT — About 18 months after a longtime plumbing supply business left a showcase Route 83 building in Vernon, an operation associated with a well-know charitable organization is moving in.

Andrew Hale of O, R&L Commercial LLC has brokered the lease of the 5,600-square foot space for new tenant Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Habitat will join Discount Trophy in the building located at 367-369 Talcottville Road. The space was previously occupied by the New Shepard Supply Company, which moved out at the beginning of 2020.

The store will accept donations and sell new and gently used items like furniture, appliances, home goods and building materials. The proceeds from the ReStore go directly to Habitat for Humanity. The new Vernon store joins existing ReStore locations in Bloomfield, Cromwell and Wallingford.
