Hartford Man Facing 8 Charges In Vernon Child Sexual Assault Case
A Hartford man has been charged in a Vernon child sexual assault case.

VERNON, CT — A 38-year-old Hartford man has been charged with eight crimes related to a sexual assault investigation in Vernon involving a child, police said.
Ramon Gomez was picked up by Hartford police Friday on a warrant and transported to Vernon police headquarters, where he was held over the weekend on a $350,000 bond, according to an arrest report.

- Three counts of first-degree sexual assault involving a victim younger than 13
- Two counts of risk of injury to a child
- Three counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim younger than 13
Gomez is accused of sexually assaulting a child between June 2016 and Oct. 2020, according to an arrest report. According to a warrant, he knew the child.
He was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday, records show.
