Hotel, Booking Room Altercations Lead To Charges In Vernon

A man was charged in Vernon aftrer altercations at a hotel and at the police department, a report says.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester man was arrested by Vernon police early Wednesday morning for altercations at a local hotel and inside the police booking room, a report indicates.

At 3:11 a.m., police received a complaint about 59-year-old Gregory Buchanan being at the Red Roof Inn, 453 Hartford Turnpike, in vciolation of a court-issued protective order, according to a report. Buchanan also had on him crack cocaine and heroin, according to a report.

After he was arrested, Buchanan refused to be fingerprinted and to have his picture taken, according to a report.

He was charged with failure to comly with fingerprint requirements, posession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating a peotective order.

He was held overnight on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Wednesday, police said.
