HVCC Staging Blood Drive Next Week

VERNON, CT — The Hockanum Valley Community Council has scheduled its second-annual blood drive for Aug. 6

The drive will take place in partnership with the American Red Cross from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HVCC Campus at 29 Naek Road in Vernon.

The event "aims to address the urgent need for blood donations in the community and continue HVCC’s mission of promoting health, healing, and hope," agency officials said. "Each blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives, and the need for blood remains constant, especially during the summer months when donations often decline."
