ICYMI: Vernon New Years Day Trash Pick-Up Schedule

Refuse & Recycling Schedule - The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Thursday,

December 25, 2014 in observance of Christmas Day and on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in observance of
New Year’s Day. Refuse and recycling will not be collected on those days but instead will be collected
a day early on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 and Wednesday, December 31, 2014, respectively,
along with that day’s collection.

Transfer Station - The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, December 21, 2014 and again on
Sunday, December 28, 2014. It will be open during its regular hours of operation on Wednesdays and
Saturdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. Excess refuse and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free
of charge year round.

Christmas Tree Disposal - Christmas trees will be collected the first two full weeks in January, weatherpermitting.
Please remove all decorations, tinsel and plastic bags. In addition, the Transfer Station will
be accepting Christmas trees for disposal the entire month of January. A permit and punchcard will
not be required for this.
