ID In Fatal I-84 Crash In Vernon Released: State Police
State police released new updates on Monday concerning the fatal 2-vehicle crash.

VERNON, CT — A 27-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Vernon, state police said.
State police said a New York man was driving a 2014 Honda westbound in the center lane on Saturday evening. Alejandro Jose Defran Marte, 27, was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima in the left lane, state police said.
State police said the Altima "sideswiped" the Honda and then "overcorrected" causing the Altima to hit the median and rollover.

"The collision caused disabling damage to Vehicle #2 and minor damage to Vehicle #1. Operator #2 suffered fatal injuries. This case remains under investigation. If you witnessed the accident or have information please contact Trooper Gurski #1140 at the Troop C Barracks," state police said in a news release.
State police didn't disclose where the deceased live but his vehicle was registered in the state of Georgia.
