Independent Coffee Shop In Vernon Getting Bigger

VERNON, CT — An independent coffee shop in Vernon is undergoing a big-time expansion.

With a vacancy emerging next door, Vernon Coffee Roasters has banged out a wall and will be adding extensive seating to its footprint.

According to the building permit, the total space for the business after the expansion will be 3,000 square feet.

With the added seating will come added menu offerings, staffers said Friday.

The hope is to complete the renovations later in the spring, staffers said.

Vernon Coffee Roasters officially opened in May of 2022. It is located in the Vernon Commons shopping plaza at 520 Hartford Turnpike, the local name for Route 30.
