July 4th Fireworks 2023 In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July seasonal fireworks and festivities are going on in Vernon for 2023.

Here's what's in store this Independence Day season in Vernon:

Vernon's annual fireworks show is scheduled for July 11 this year.

The usual two venues will be featured — Henry Park and Downtown Rockville.

The rain date is July 12.

In downtown Rockville, the event committee has decided to limit the number of non-profit association booths for 2023 and is hoping to draw local small business and crafters to join in the fun. But a party of traditional favorites will be on hand as well, including the Push. Pedal and Pull Patriotic Parade, live music and food.

At Henry Park, the Kids Zone will be set up featuring rides and games.

There is an admission fee to get into Henry Park. There is no charge for the Downtown Rockville venue.

Activities generally begin at about 6 p.m. with roads near Downtown Rockville close after 5 p.m.

The fireworks display will be shot off from atop Fox Hill next to the famed tower shortly after dusk when the professionals determine the optimum viewing time.
