Key Hyundai Again Offering a Car for RHS Project Graduation Raffle
Students had their official look at the vehicle on Wednesday.
senior Alyssa Holmes ran outside the school on Wednesday and immediately called the driver's seat in the gray Hyundai parked on the front sidewalk.
She was soon joined by a few classmates.
Then a few more - enough to stuff the inside of the car.
"It smells like a pool in here," Holmes said, marveling at how clean the 2005 Accent was.
Senior Jenny Mears appeared and hopped on the hood. Several other classmates followed her. The car was now full and covered with students.
RHS Principal and owner Jill Merriam just nodded in approval.
Welcome to RHS Project Graduation, 2012.
For the second year in a row, Merriam, who bills herself as the "Dealer for the People," becomes the "Dealer for the Students" by partnering with the school to offer a car as the grand prize in the Project Graduation raffle.
Last year, RHS Class of 2011 Graduate Alex Mann won a 2005 Santa Fe courtesy of Key Hyundai. For the Class of 2012's 2005 Accent, every $50 donation raised by a student enters his or her name into the drawing. Only RHS 2012 graduates are eligible to win.
The car drawing will take place at 4 a.m.
