Late-Winter Opening Projected For Vernon ShopRite
A late-winter opening is being projected for the new ShopRite store in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — The new ShopRite in Vernon could open as early as February, the town's economic development coordinator said Tuesday.
March is also a possibility, Economic Development Coordinator Shaun Gatey said.
On Thursday, crews were working on the rooftop with a heavy lift crane. Climate control equipment was among the items being lowered onto the roof.

Crews have been working on the building at the Tri-City Plaza since June. In late May, Price Chopper announced it was moving out of the location at 35 Talcottville Road.
The Price Chopper had occupied 99,000 square feet. The plan is for TJX's Homesense to take over 27,000 feet next to sister stores T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods and for ShopRite to occupy the remaining space.
