Latest Dates Announced For Vernon Single Burnable Drop-Off Program
The single burnable drop-off program is popular with Vernon residents.

VERNON, CT — The dates have been announced for the latest round of the single burnable drop-off program at the Vernon Transfer Station.
Vernon residents are invited to drop off a single burnable item (wood and upholstered furniture, plastic/resin outdoor furniture, etc.) at the transfer station — free of charge — on Oct. 19, Oct. 22 and Oct. 23.
Mattresses and boxsprings are not permitted as part of this round, officials said.

Permits and punch cards are not required, however, proof of Vernon residency must be shown, officials said.
Normal hours for the Transfer Station at 12 Hockanum Boulevard are Wednesdays and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
