The Latest State Police Troop C Arrests

Here are the latest arrests from the state police troop C barracks.

Arrests noted in the Troop C log book are public information and reflect charges only. They are not indications of guilt.

Aug. 20

ELLINGTON, CT — Michael Hopko, 29, of Ellington, was charged with violating probation, according to a report. Two warrants had been issued for his arrest, state police said. He had been skipping mandated treatment programs, state police said.

VERNON, CT — Gerald St. Laurent, 56, of Wales, MA, was charged with drunken driving and three motor vehicle violations after a crash on Interstate-84,state police said. The accident was on the westbound side of the highway in Vernon and St. Laurent failed a series of field sobriety tests after, according to a report.

Aug. 21

WILLINGTON, CT — Yitian Huang, 21, of Willington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear after state police investigated a disabled vehicle at a Willington intersection, according to a report. Three warrants had been issued for his arrest, according to a report.

Aug. 22

WILLINGTON, CT — Kyle Carrero, 23, of Lebanon, was charged with interfering with an officer during a disturbance at a Timber Lane home, according to a report. He had an active failure to appear warrant and at first gave troopers a fake name, according to a report.

Aug. 23

MANSFIELD, CT — Ryan Batherson, 34, of Mansfield, was charged with risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct and second-degree assault, according to a report. He is accused of choking a 29-year-old woman when a child was present at a Middle Turnpike home, according to a report.

SOMERS, CT — An inmate at Osborn Correctional Institution is accused of assaulting three officers after an incident involving him allegedly throwing things from his cell, according to a report. Randy Brumwell, 38, an inmate from Torrington, was on his way to the "Restrictive Housing Unit" and became uncooperative, according to a report.

Aug. 23

STAFFORD, CT — Devon Crabb, 21, was charged with interfering at 9:49 p.m. on Furnace Avenue, according to a report. He was a passenger in a car that had been stopped and kept reaching into the trunk after moving a seat back, despite a trooper's orders not to, a report indicates.

Aug. 24

TOLLAND, CT — Jennifer Desrocher, 32, and Justin Scalley, 30, both of Tolland, were charged with disorderly conduct at 1:11 a.m., according to a report. Troopers were called to a home on Fox Ridge Lane, according to a report.

ELLINGTON, CT — Dale Chase, 30, of Ellington, was charged with first-degree failure to appear after being picked up by bail enforcement officers, a report indicates. The warrant involves third-degree burglary and failure to appear charges, according to a report.
