As a mother, grandmother, wife and a teacher, Laura Bush is keenly aware of the challenges facing Vernon residents in these difficult times. She vowed to run a vigorous campaign which contrasts her record of accomplishment in Vernon with the incumbent’s history as a partisan rubber stamp for the Malloy and Lamont Administrations.
“Runaway spending, rampant taxation and onerous regulations have hampered businesses, taxpayers and workers for far too long in our great state. Our children go away to college never to return and ‘For Sale’ signs sprout across our neighbors’ front lawns. The old way isn’t working anymore. It is time for a change! It’s time to bring reason to the state capitol and give freedom back to our citizens. That is my pledge to you and the promise I will share with voters throughout this campaign”
