Local Business TV Show announces guests in August

Tolland County Economy, a weekly 30-minute talk show on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on Comcast Channel 5 (CVC), announced its guests for August shows.

Host Drew Crandall, owner of Keep In Touch in Vernon, will interview Mary Holz-Clause, Vice President of the new UConn Office of Economic Development. She will introduce viewers to the UConn Technology Park, CT NEXT, Small Business Development Center, and other initiatives that UConn is taking to stimulate economic development in Tolland County and statewide.

Crandall will also interview Chris Kueffner and Lynn Stoddard, partners in the new Adventure Park on Route 195 in Storrs. Tapping into the current ziplining craze, this 10-acre park opened in May and features four adventure courses of varying degrees of difficulty.

In addition to the weekly television show, which is Connecticut's only business television talk show dedicated exclusively to local business, Tolland County Economy offers a free e-newsletter and e-job bank. Each month, leads are provided on hundreds of job openings in Tolland County and adjacent towns east of the Connecticut River.
