Long-Vacant Vernon Strip Mall Primed For A Tenant

VERNON, CT — A long-vacant strip mall along a section of Route 83 in Vernon has a tenant, a town official confirmned Wednesday.

The local address of the strip mall is 206 Talcottville Road. It has sat without a tenant for several years. Workers have been busy inside the center suite of the building and Vernon Economic Development Coordinator Shaun Gately said it will be occupied by Prohealth Physicians.

No formal timetable for the opening of the medical facility has been posted.

Prohealth already has a presence along the 500 block of Route 83. Gately said he is unsure if Prohealth will move its facility to the new location or use it as a satellite office.

A package store was initially targeted for the location but those plans have been put on hold, Gately said.
