Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman's car collided with another on Thursday in Vernon.
VERNON, CT — A state vehicle carrying Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman was involved in a minor crash Thursday morning at a tricky Vernon intersection.
Wyman was traveling with a driver at 8:09 a.m. when the accident took place, police at the scene said.
Police at the scene said her vehicle was traveling from her hometown of Tolland on Route 30 toward the Route 31 interchange, which takes drivers to Interstate-84.

No one was hurt and Wyman boarded another state vehicle and left the scene after consoling the driver of the Honda.
Wyman officially announced later in the day that she wouldn't run for governor in 2018.
At about 10 a.m., Vernon police released details of the incident:
The Honda Accord, driven by Denise Satchwell-Biggs, 43, of Hartford was traveling eastbound on Route 30 toward Tolland and attempted to turn left onto East Street, police said.
A Jeep driven by David Giroux of Tolland was stopped in the left westbound lane of Route 30 in traffic.
Wyman's Ford Explorer was being driven by a member of the CSP Governor’s Security Detail and was traveling west on Route 30 in the right lane, police said.
The Honda turned left into the path of the Explorer, the vehicles collided and the impact pushed the Explorer into the Jeep, police said.
The Jeep and Ford Explorer suffered disabling damage that required them to be towed, police said. Satchwell-Biggs was given an infraction for failure to grant the right of way, police said.
