Man In Apron Starts Ruckus At Store In Vernon, Then Flees: Police

VERNON, CT — A man in a uniform for one business began fighting with employees at another business in Vernon and is now facing criminal charges, police said.

Details of the Friday incident were released Wednesday.

At 9:55 a.m. that day, Vernon police responded to the Dollar Tree store at the Tri-City Plaza for an altercation, according to an arrest report. Police were told by staffers that a "tall young man" dressed in a Dunkin' Donuts apron and T-shirt had just fled the store in a tan Toyota after getting into an argument with them at the store when asked to leave, according to an arrest report.

During the argument, the man in the apron pushed both Dollar Tree staff members, according to an arrest report.

The man was identified via surveillance images, tracked down at his Vernon address and arrested, police said. He was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
