Man Arrested In Vernon On 6 Warrants For Skipping Court Dates

A Manchester man wanted on six warrants was picked up in Vernon on Monday, reports indicate.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester man wanted on six warrants was picked up in Vernon on Monday, reports indicate. Bail enforcement agents nabbed him at 2:30 p.m., according to reports.

Re-arrest orders had been issued for 48-year-old Brian Stewart over the past several months for cases that include offenses in Vernon and Manchester, judicial system records show.

The original bonds in the cases totaled $20,000 and bonds totaling an additional $46,000 were tacked on after the six warrants were applied, according to Vernon police records.

Stewart has a littany of cases for which he skipped court sates, records show.

They are:

  • A $250 ticket for a Hartford ordinance violation issued on Nov. 20
  • Another $250 ordinance violation in Hartford issued 10 days later
  • A Dec. 23 arrest in Bristol on charges that include illegally taking a credit card, illegally charging less than $500 on a credit card, the fraudulent use of an automated teller and sixth-degree larceny
  • A Sept. 22 arrest in Vernon for third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace
  • An arrest in Manchester five days later for violation of a protective order
  • Another Sept. 27 arrest — in Vernon — for sixth-degree larceny, four counts of attempt to commit criminal impersonation, two counts of third-degree identity theft, four counts of attempt to commit identity theft, two counts of purchasing less than $500 on a revoked credit card, four counts of attempting to purchase less than $500 on a revoked credit card, illegally taking a payment card, and three counts of third-degree forgery
