Man Challenges Woman To A Fight In Vernon Road Rage Incident: Police
A Vernon man is facing charges after an animated road rage incident, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man picked a fight with a woman during a road rage incident in Vernon last weekend, a police report indicates.
Police released details of the incident this week.
The altercation broke out at 7:02 p.m near the McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts on Talcottville Road in the Vernon Circle area of town. A 35-year-old woman told police that she was stopped at a red light and a man drive up behind her, according to an incident report.

The 39-year-old Vernon man eventually pulled alongside her and threw a beverage at her vehicle, then exited his, opened one of her car's doors and "taunted" her to a fight, according to an incident report.
A report does not detail what preceded the blow-up, but it does indicate that the man admitted to opening the door and screaming at the woman.
