Man Charged After Flashing And Dashing Incident In Vernon: Report
A Hartford man was charged with public indecency in Vernon after an incident on a local road.

VERNON, CT — A Hartford man is accused of exposing himself along a busy section of road in Vernon last month.
According to an arrest report, at 5:17 p.m. on March 24, Vernon police received complaints about a man exposing himself and performing solo sext acts on the side of the road in the area of Rheel and Union streets.
When police arrived, the man fled the scene and ran through several yards, an arrest report indicates. He was eventually apprehended and identified as 39-year-old Samuel Rivas, of Hartford, police said.

Rivas was charged with public indecency, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.
His initial $25,000 bond was reduced to a promise to appear in court again on April 11, judicial system records show.
