Man Charged for Chainsaw Incident in Vernon

A man is accused of stealing for drug money in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — A Plainville man is in custody on a $10,000 bond after an incident with a chainsaw in Vernon, court and police records show.

Anthony Sebby Larosa, 29, is due for a second court appearance on July 26, according to court records. He is facing charges that include third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and possession of a controlled substance. according to court records.

According to an arrest report, at 12:24 p.m. on June 24, police received a report about a man carrying a stolen chainsaw near 38 East Main St. A subsequent investigation revealed one had been stolen out of locked garage nearby. Larosa is accused of taking the saw and selling it for heroin money, according to an arrest report.
