Man Charged With Home Invasion in Glastonbury

A man remained in custody on a six-figure bond following his arrest last Friday.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man remained in custody on a six-figure bond following his arrest last Friday for invading a Glastonbury home, police and judicial system records indicate.

Charles Walker, 51, of no certain address, had an active restraining order against him for a Glastonbury residence, but showed up at the home anyway on Friday, police said.

He forced his way into the home, but then fled after police arrived, according to a report. He was located a short time later and taken into custody, according to a report.

Walker was charged with:

  • Home invasion
  • First-degree burglary
  • Criminal violation of a restraining order
  • Third-degree criminal mischief
  • Interfering with an officer
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

He was initially held on a $250,000 bond and that was reduced to $150,000 at his arraignment Friday. He failed to post it and remained in custody as of Tuesday, according to court records. He is due back before a judge on July 10, according to court records.
