Man Charged With Negligent Homicide in Case of Car Falling Through Ice at State Park
The accident was at a park in northern Connecticut.

VERNON — A Massachusetts man has been charged with negligent homicide in case in which a car fell through an icy pond at Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union last winter, court records indicate.
Judicial system records show that Justin McAllise, of Southbridge, MA, made an appearance in a Rockville Superior Court on Tuesday.
His case was continued to next month.

The accident took place on Jan 12, according to law enforcement and court records.
A law enforcement report and court documents point to the car McAllise was driving traveling about 50 yards onto the ice on a pond at Bigelow Hollow.

One of three passengers, 18-year-old Emily Blouin, of Southbridge, was pronounced dead at a hospital later on, according to law enforcement and court records.
Fox 61 reported that he had smoked marijuana earlier that day.
Fox 61 also reported that McAllise’s lawyer declined comment.
