Man Charged In Southington Stalking, Threatening Case
A man is facing three charges in a stalking case, Southington police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man is facing three charges in a stalking case, Southington police said.
Police released the details of the Aug. 18 arrest Tuesday. That day, Mathew Newberry, 31, surrendered at Southington police headquarters after learning about a warrant for his arrest, police said.
Newberry was charged with stalking, harassment and threatening, all in the second degree. The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on Aug. 8, when a resident complained that, after moving to an "undisclosed location," she was being stalked and harassed "in all aspects of her life," including video, phone calls, text messages and threatening behavior.

Newberry has denied all allegations, according to a warrant, but the warrant also indicates officers found probable cause for the arrest.
Newberry has posted a $75,000 bond in the case and his next court date is Oct 1, records show.
