Man Electronically Stalks Person To Vernon Store: Report

A 56-year-old man is accused to electronically tracking a person to a Vernon retail store.

VERNON, CT — A 56-year-old man is accused of electronically tracking a person to a Vernon retail store and threatening to kill the person once there, police said.

The altercation took place Tuesday at the TJ Maxx Store in The Tri-City Plaza, 35 Talcottville Road, police said.

Hong Lee, whose listed address is in Windsor, is accused of using a GPS tracking device to follow a person who had a protective order against him, a report indicates. Once at the store, he threatened to kill the person, according to a report.

Lee fled the scene prior to police arriving, but was tracked down in Simsbury, police said.

  • First-degree stalking
  • Third-degree stalking
  • Second-degree threatening
  • Violation of a proective order

His initial $10,000 bond was reduced to a promise to appear at a Jan. 21 arraignment, records show. Lee is due back in court on March 4, records show.
